West Suffolk College offers a range of IEMA courses and qualifications, whether you’re looking for a short introduction to environmental sustainability for your workforce or a longer, formal associate qualification leading to professional membership.
The Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) is the professional body for everyone working, studying or interested in the environment and sustainability. It was established in 1999 and represents members worldwide. As well as providing professional support for those members, IEMA offers networking opportunities, ongoing training and practical skills for interacting with other professionals. IEMA is a significant voice in policy and the media too, regularly working with government officials or journalists to provide expert advice on the urgent issues facing the environment today.
We offer a range of IEMA accredited courses. You can choose from the following options.

West Suffolk College offers an online course in Understanding Climate Change and Environmental Awareness with a fully certified level 2 certifcate.
Our planet is currently facing the biggest challenge it has ever seen in the climate crisis. Everyone has the power to make a difference and create a more sustainable future for the next generation.
This follows-on from the Level 2 Climate Change & Environmental Awareness course, and looks in more depth at the issues facing our world and how we can all play our part to achieve a greener lifestyle. Studying these units will give you a much broader understanding of what we face and how to drive change at work/home.
As part of the Sustainability Centre we are creating a network of professionals, academics, businesses, public sector, and organisations. We believe to achieve our values and goals towards adopting a more sustainable world collaboration and synergies are important and needed for progress as stated in the SDG goal 17-Partnerships.
Our network is used to create collaborative resources, share resources, assist in awareness and knowledge, events and webinars. We are always networking with new individuals and organisations locally, nationally and globally to form the best partnerships to be able to form a better future for us all.
